Types of Insurance Coverage
In cargo insurance, there are several main types of coverage:
- All Risks (Institute Cargo Clauses A) – the most comprehensive coverage, protecting against all risks of physical loss or damage, except defined exclusions such as natural wear and tear, improper packaging, or delays
- WA – With Average (Institute Cargo Clauses B) – covers specific risks such as fire, sinking, storms, and similar events
- FPA – Free of Particular Average (Institute Cargo Clauses C) – the most basic level of coverage
